I am working on a project that involves converting video to play on any iPod or other mobile device. This is a handy reference that tells you what video formats in what size and framerate are supported on which devices:http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/articles/comments/the-complete-guide-to-ipod-video-formats-and-display-resolutions/WinFF is a free video converter program based on FFMpeg for Linux:http://winff.org/html_new/It will convert just about any video format to any other video format. And its free!
I needed to get an adapter to fit into the Apple Hi-Fi (discontinued) for my iPod Touch. This lists all of the universal adapters for iPod and iPhone:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1380Hopefully I can get the adapter I need at any apple store.
I keep setting my (somewhat lame) Biker theme in Wordpress and when I come back a day or two later its back to “Default” again!!! So annoying!! Anyone know why this is happening?
Or “Rooster Sauce” or Sriacha.I put it in eggs, steak, pancakes (ok, not pancakes), just about everything! Its hot but not killer-burn-your-face-off hot. It really adds flavor. And not as “one dimensional” as Tabasco.

The Eclipse development environment is fantastic and the price is right but it does have its “gotchas” that are common to most open source. The fact that it 90% most of the time works except when it doesn’t. There are always certain small details and bugs that get overlooked that you always have to work around. Here is a good one: in trying to upgrade the software I kept getting an error “No Repository Found” with some long URL on it. There were many answers on the ‘net to this issue but this was the one that worked for me:

When developing Android apps there is a glitch in the super fancy WYSISYG layout editor. It doesn’t really let me drag / drop components into the form, which forces me to edit the xml by hand. The tool has great promise but is again just 90% there. It sure would save me time if it actually worked!
1 cubic inch = 16.387064 Cubic Centimeter (cc)

When I went to go for a ride on my BMW yesterday I discovered it was buried behind 12 tons of motorcycle parts. There was no way I was getting it out, and it was a picture perfect day for a ride. Luckily Kosco Harley Davidson in Butler, NJ had one bike left to rent: a 2010 Street Glide. I guess you’d consider it a light touring bike, not as deluxe as an Electra Glide but it still had plenty of bells and whistles. And a 96 cubic inch engine! Equivalent to a 1573 CC’s.Barry at Kosco gave me a nice deal on this rental. Thanks for saving the day Barry!Info on the Street Glide
The Android Motorola Droid phone is my 3rd smartphone. I had a Treo, then my Samsung, now the Droid. It is the first one that even comes close to suiting my needs! Its time to learn how to write good apps for it.This is a great tutorial on how to program for Droid, beyond a simple “Hello World!” app:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rm-hNlTD1H0Very well done.
It has been way too long since my last post. Around 9 months. I have interesting stuff to say every single day so why not do it! Lazyness is a key factor ;-)So here is my challenge to myself: blog once a day, at least on weekdays, something interesting in my life. And this one doesn’t count.
